Break down language barriers – Help us fund advice in community languages
Imagine needing urgent help with housing, benefits, or energy bills—but not being able to understand the advice. For many Westminster residents, language is a major barrier to accessing essential support.
Over the past year, our advice in community languages offer has provided 225 hours of support to 150 residents, in languages including Arabic, Farsi, Tigrigna, Ukrainian, Bengali, and more. Most of those who rely on this service—80%—have a disability or long-term health condition.
Now, we need £5,000 to expand this vital service by launching a community language call-back service, ensuring even more people can get the advice they need in a language they understand.
Your donation can make a real difference:
- £20 could fund a 30-minute advice session in a resident’s language.
- £100 could support five clients with life-changing advice.
- £500 could help establish our call-back service and reach more people in need.
With your help, we can ensure that no one in Westminster is left struggling simply because of a language barrier.
Donate today and help us create a more inclusive community.

A team from Citizens Advice Westminster made up of staff, volunteers, and their friends and family took part in the June 2024 London Legal Walk… they helped to raise over £1,100. All funds raised go directly to supporting the life-changing services that we provide free to the citizens of Westminster.
