Monday to Friday, 9.15am to 4pm (Extended to 6:30 PM on Wednesdays until 11th December, resuming 8th January)

During busy times we may answer the phone to take your basic details and arrange for a call back assessment. This is to prevent long queue times.
Trained CAW assessors will carry out an assessment to try to find the best way to help solve your problem. They will provide you with information so you can take action yourself or help you to get in touch with an organisation that can assist you. If we can help further they will book you for a ‘Call Back’ appointment with one of our advisers.
It’s usually busiest at the beginning and end of the day. It’s not available on public holidays. We’ll answer as soon as we can – at busy times you might need to wait up to an hour. If the wait is long, we’ll tell you about other ways to get advice. You can also try calling again later.
Calls to Adviceline are free from mobiles and landlines. You can see more about our call charges.
